Yes the rejection refers to you jumping a traffic queue which is obviously not in the video and is probably template they've left in. Lazy stuff that really should get this thrown out.

It's here?

Did you turn into the wrong entrance.

It's some way beyond Manor Way.

Could you provide a GSV link to the location please.
The GSV (below) for the junction of Manor Way and New Road appears to bear no relation to yr video?

Post the rest of the PCN and rejection, plus your challenge if you have it.

Havering doesn't offer the discount on rejection so you may as well take them to the tribunal. But an enforcement notice is next for London bus lanes.

Our member Hippo may have something on procedure.

On the contravention, the video shows you reversing out into the bus lane - why?

Then the video cuts out but you were signalling left. What happened next?

Title: Havering Council bus lane crossing PCN

Hi all,

I received a PCN from Havering Council in July for driving in a bus lane (contravention code 34j).

I challenged it on the basis that I was going to a garage for car servicing, and there’s no direct route to the industrial area without entering the bus lane. I submitted the challenge within the 14 days when the reduced charge of £80 was still available.

Today I received a rejection letter stating that my vehicle was observed travelling in the bus lane and gaining an advantage by queue-jumping, which isn’t true. I only entered the bus lane in order to turn left to access the area, and I even provided the garage’s address.

The council is now demanding the full penalty of £160 as my appeal was unsuccessful.

Is there any way to challenge this further, or at least pay the reduced rate instead of the full amount?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated
