Why are you even considering the "mugs discount"? What has been received by the Keeper is a speculative invoice from an unregulated private parking company for an alleged breach of contract by an unknown driver.

Why on earth would you just pay an old invoice because it offers a discount? If you follow the advice here, you will not be paying a penny to ECP.

These firms rely on you being low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree who can be intimidated into paying up out of ignorance and fear.

The Plan A should always be to try and get whoever contracted ECP to get them to cancel it. Morrisons are extremely good at doing this and all you need to do is visit this site and fill in the form:

https://www.morrisons.com/help/form/contact-us/car-park/car-parking-charges/i-have-a-car-parking-charge

If that is not successful (very rare) then you move on to Plan B which is an appeal, which we will advise on if you don't have a result before Thursday 2 October.

Even if this went all the way to a county court claim, I can tell you with greater than 99% confidence that it would never reach a hearing as long as it is defended with our template defence as it would be struck out or discontinued.

So, ignore the stupid mugs discount and proceed with Plan A for now!

HI here is the NTK

the driver also did a large shop at the morrisons store that same day spending £45

the first 3 hours are free at morrisons

she usually pays £2 for the day as that is the cost for the day through the ring go ap

on this occasion she forgot realized during lunch time and then paid for parking thinking she had covered the total time she was there for. she only paid though for 2 hours

Please read https://www.ftla.uk/private-parking-tickets/read-this-first-private-parking-charges-forum-guide/ and show us the NTK in particular.

Did your partner perhaps visit twice on the day in question?

I am the registered keeper. My partner  works and uses the car at  a morrisons car park every week . she always pays but on this occasion i am not sure what happened but she arrived at 09:30 and left at 14:59. She  paid on arrival but the ticket stated 1:26 to 3:26 so did not cover the whole parking time.

I have copies of all previous payments (through ring go)

the NTK has been sent to me - date of event 26/08/25 , date issued 03/09/25.

£100 reduced to £60 if paid by 17/09/2025

it refers to protection of freedoms act 2012.

anyway out of this - if not as i am out of time to pay reduced £60 will that be re-offered at some point
