You're welcome.

You didn't say (and I didn't ask) but I assume you were the driver. If not, of course, you cannot plead guilty to speeding.

We've seen this aa bit recently and it seems some courts are taking a pragmatic approach to what is usually an administrative problem.

So long as you have that assurance from the court in writing I see no problem with doing so. You could also ask the court to consider sentencing you at the fixed penalty level (£100 and 3 points). You would probably have been offered a course (provided you are eligible and the offence was not in Scotland). But the court cannot offer a course so a fixed penalty is the next best thing. Magistrates have guidance which suggests they should consider doing so in your circumstances.

Title: SJN

I have been sent a SJN for not responding to a speeding offence of doing 46mph in 40mph zone.
also to failed to declare driver.

I Sent off the NIP via post but did not receive further communication.
until this SJP.
on the information sheet provided in pack it states if i plead guilty to the speeding offence the failed to declare offence will be withrawn.
is this correct as that conflicts with the advise you have given people on this thread.

look forward to your prompt reply.
