Well you're in for £160 because you submitted representations, and Havering, being a venal, and rapacious council are unlikely to reoffer the discount.

However, if there any days left of the discount period you are entitled in law to pay the discount regardless of whether you have submitted representations. If they refuse your £80, they are breaking the law themselves and you'd win at adjudication on this.

Thankyou certainly gives me food for thought however £160 is a lot of money to pay for a single mum who has never had one of these before .

The problem you've got is that in order to pick up and drop off, you have to drive in the bus lane albeit for a short distance, so really the PCN would seem to have been lawfully served.

However, wait and see what the others say. As this is Havering, who will not re-offer the discount when rejecting representations, it is a total no-brainer to register an appeal at London Tribunals because the penalty remains the same, and there are no additional costs.

If I don’t have a fighting chance then maybe I should just pay it’s just the principle I picked up earlier in the day and dropped off later although the picture does not show this I was driving off after dropping off .

I was advised to ask for some advice on here . The notice they have given me shows a picture of my car but when you go on line to look at it more clearly there is intact no video evidence just photos too. I don’t know what to do many thanks
Calma. Please just give me/us the PCN and reg. number. I love bus lane tickets. Plus what @John U.K. advised.

Welcome to ftla.

For meaningful advice you will need to have a read of
https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/read-this-first-before-posting-your-case!-this-section-is-for-council-tfl-dartme/

and post up here
all sides of the PCN (only redact yr name & address - leave all else in),
a copy of what you have written to the council,
any council photos,
and
a GSV link to the location.

The use of attachments to post docs and images here is not recommended.

The easiest way to upload docs and images here (unless you have no mobile phone camera) is to use yr  phone to photo each page of each doc, redacting yr name & address where it occurs, and uploading the images to an external site like  https://ibb.co/ or imgur and copy and then post the BBCodes here. I use ibb with no probs. (Scroll down past the image to see the BBCode.)

Without seeing the paperwork we are very much in the dark, as we don't even know, for example, the location (Kent or Essex?), the dates (which govern the whole enforcement process, &c., and only be seeing the 'small print' can any mistakes by the council be found.

I was advised to ask for some advice on here . I have been sent a pcn in new road rainham for driving in a bus lane where in fact I picked up and dropped off I have appealed the day I got the notice and explained this but I’m worried as the lower rate only stands for 14 days whereby before it would stick if you appealed in time. The notice they have given me shows a picture of my car but when you go on line to look at it more clearly there is intact no video evidence just photos too. I don’t know what to do many thanks
