OPINION 1
https://maps.app.goo.gl/a7SdynUq4ntP8SBG8
So what it says is this..
"NO MOTOR VEHICLES BAGLEYS LANE
EXCEPT BUSES, TAXIS, PERMIT HOLDERS AND FOR ACCESS"
sign is located on Bagleys lane as you enter it.
OPINION 2
The above road leads onto harwood terrace but, if you make a right turn, you will continue on bagleys lane but.. it has a fresh sign.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/f7PWo3K9xj22KRYH7
Which removes the "for access" part. You'll have to move around a bit and find the october 2025 pictures.
OPINION 3
When you pass the sign from opinion 1 and head into harwood terrace, then imperial road, then imperial square and stay there for an hour or so and then head towards your final destination on bagleys lane, with in mind bagleys lane you're able to access based on the first signage you saw when entering bagleys lane.

Notice trees obscuring the signage on approach until you get extremely close to the signage.
So how legal is this or, shall I say, how confusing is this?

I see that this relates to your exising thread, so the threads will be merged.

Hi there,
There is a road sign in london on a road called bagleys lane in Fulham. If you enter this road from kings road, shortly down this road is a sign that says:
No motor vehicles Bagleys lane except buses, taxis, permit holders and for access.
This road leads onto another road called harwood terrace.
But, if one turns right they can continue on bagleys lane but there is a new set of signs which is the same as above but they have removed the "access" bit.
Please tell me if this is within the law?
Whether you believe they are purposely trying to confuse motorists?
Or any further input on this.

You need to give us a clue...
Post the PCN and a link to Google street view of the location.
I did, 3 links at the bottom
Sorry, but 'img' is no longer operating in the UK, please use another hosting site. I think there are alternatives in here: -

Just want to update where we are right now with this PCN.
22nd is the date of offence, I contested it early september.
The council took 4.5 months to respond to this appeal and rejected stating there is sufficient advance signage.
I have now gone to the london tribunal about it and my hearing it Feb 16th
My stated reasons for going to the tribunal were...
1. Poor signage when coming from the direction I was travelling.
2. Took 4.5 months to respond.
And i made a big mistake and added another point for appeal which i've figured out to be irrelevant which was...
3. I parked on bagleys lane through 'just park' (someone's driveway). I stated that the signage clearly states access is allowed just not to be used as a through road.
Unfortunately i was going off a 2021 street view signage which states access is allowed. 2025 street view (from another angle) has new signage which doesn't say you can have access. I hope that doesn't mess my main complaint up that the signage was poor.
Here is an updated picture of the signage...

No GSV links in yr opening post :(
Please also post rest of the PCN.
Did you mean here

and

Presumably you drove into Bagleys Lane from Harwood Terrace?
I think that yiou have a case based on lack of advance signage.
The 1st GSV link above shows the base of what might be a relevant sign, but given the abundance of foliage there is absolutely no way of knowing.
Post yr draft reps here for comment and use e-mail rather than their online form.

Also, when challenging the ticket, i only have the following options to choose from:
Please select your grounds for Representation:
I was not the owner of the vehicle at the time of the alleged contravention
The vehicle had been taken without my consent
The contravention did not occur
The penalty charge exceeded the amount applicable in the circumstances
We are a hire firm and have supplied the name of the hirer along with a signed hire agreement

Driving for 20+ years but a new driver in London (i dont live there) as i needed some surgery done.
A camera has caught me entering a restricted road at 6am and wanted to know if i have a case with this one. We have nothing of the sort that ive come across in the UK, and i've never come across such restrictions in my entire life until i entered London that day.
Date of alleged offence: 22/08/2025
Date of this notice 1/09/2025
Date the notice arrived 3/09/2025
Location: Hammersmith and fulham
Reason the notice was given: Failing to comply with a prohibition on certain types of vehicle (m) motor vehicles
My reason why its not justified: Its impossible to read the sign on entry of this road. I have attached a picture of the road i was on and the restriction notice is the left turning ahead.
Please advise if I have a case?
