I know she’s ill at the moment and she didn’t want any problems I explained it all to her. She’s willing to fight another one though that she received so I’m just waiting for it to get to that stage to post.

You should explain to your grandmother that she has wasted her money. If the advice given here is followed, she would not need to pay a penny to ECP.

What exactly was she frightened about "what would happen next"? She is exactly the low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree that these scammers hope can be intimidated into paying out of ignorance and fear.

You've only shown us the reminder. We would need to see the original Notice to Keeper (NtK) that was issued. It is far too late to appeal anything now.

However, as this is ECP, if you follow this advice, the Keeper will not be paying a penny to ECP. What is going to happen next is a stream of useless debt recovery letters which can be safely ignored. Debt collectors are powerless to do anything except to try and persuade the low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree to pay up out of ignorance and fear.

All debt recovery letters can be shredded and used as hamster bedding for anyone cares. Never enter into communication with a powerless debt collector.

Eventually, a Letter of Claim (LoC) is going to be received from DCB Legal. When that arrives, come back and we will advise on how to respond.

In the long run, a claim will be issued and we will again advise on how to defend it. Eventually, the claim will be discontinued and that will be the end of the matter but it is going to take anything from 9-12+ months.

Hello, I’m looking for advice for a family member. They parked in a pub car park that is adjacent to a doctor Surgery. They have always parked there to go to the Surgery and to go to the shops afterwards.

They received a letter through the door saying they had been parked for 25 minutes in the car park but not paying for it.

Because I’ve posted on here before with similar fines, so I just need to do the same process where I tell them that they need to provide me a POPLA  code and then wait for them to take it to court?
