Title: Re: PCN issued after 69 days
Post by: Incandescent on July 31, 2025, 03:26:15 pm
Hi All,

I have been issued with a PCN. The contravention date was the 02/05/2025. The PCN was posted to me on the 10/07/2025 - 69 days later.

I was driving a hire car on the day of the contravention.

Would I have any grounds to challenge this PCN on the basis of the long delay in issuing the PCN?

Thank You
Knowing you were driving a hire car on the contravention date does mean the PCN is quite possibly in-time, but please provide the essential information requested by HCA, as without it we're lost.

Don't know!

Please read the forum rules regarding posting notices etc. Until we see the PCN we won't know the applicable legislation and therefore what procedures apply.

READ THIS FIRST - **BEFORE POSTING YOUR CASE!**, This section is for council, TFL, Dart/Mersey/Tyne etc. cases
