Try a PM to Hippocrates.

If the PCN has the same number as the one you have already submitted representations about, then you need to submit reps stating that you have already been served this PCN and are awaiting service of the Enforcement Notice, the second stage of the enforcement process in the legislation governing London bus lanes.

I'm wondering if anyone can help with the second appeal? I have let the fine over run to the full amount and it would be a shame to have to pay it after all that

OP, for the avoidance of doubt, can you please post up this "second notice". The first notice would have been the PCN.

As a PCN is always the first statutory document, and this one seems identical to the first, I am puzzled, so as I'm not completely up-to-speed with the interstices of London bus lane legislation I shall stand aside for others to take over.

Which notice? PCN or EN?

I believe it's the PCN... as it lets me appeal again through the TFL PCN details section

Hope you are doing well - I’ve had the second notice served. May I please request you to write up the second appeal notice?

Many thanks

Wait for the Enforcement Notice and I will draft a more technical appeal against the PCN.

OK, your video shows the roadworks, but you would seem not to have captured the "Use Bus Lane" sign.

Their letter is the usual Fob-Off letter that totally fails to consider your representations. TfL have, like all authorities serving PCNs a duty to consider representations but here, although repeating most of yours, then totally fails to respons to them.

If it were me, I'd take them all the way to London Tribunals as your evidence seems very strong, but sight of the sign would make a slam-dunk win, I think.

So over to you

The "Use Bus Lane" sign is at 00:20 of the vimeo link  :)
Indeed yes, but this comes after you have driven in the bus lane for some distance. Wasn't there a sign before you entered the bus lane ? We have to cover all aspects here, although I think Hippocrates has his foot on their neck as well. It's quite clear, (even absolutely obvious),  from your video that one had to use the bus lane to proceed.

To be honest - I moved into the bus lane as soon as I saw that sign, perhaps a bit earlier than I should have

This is extrapolation of the urine. Wait for the Enforcement Notice and I am happy to take care of this one. The most recent last two they did not contest. If they push you all the way, we may be looking at costs too - whether they DNC or not.

Hello All,

Looks like I have shot myself in the foot as I've already sent a appeal letter However I have received a Bus Lane fine for being in a Bus Lane on Tooting High Street.

For context, there were ongoing roadworks and there was a sign to "Use bus lane" - I saw the sign up ahead and moved over to the bus lane however was landed with a nice and hefty fine.

See video for context: https://vimeo.com/1104622747?share=copy

Do I have any chance of appeal or should I just pay the reduced fine in the window I have?
