a timeline with -
date you parked car
date you went away
date permit expired
dates with PCN numbers of each PCN
date of removal to pound
and date of your going to pound.
Then They said if I release the car, that will cover all liabilities.
Who said? Verbally? a letter? 'phone call? e-mail?
So I released it; I gave them the keys and the V5C. I signed a contract; I have proof.
Who is 'them'? What is the proof? Please post up here a copy of the contract. Were you given anything else at the pound?
Now I am receiving letters from Tower Hamlets Council demanding payment for 8 different PCNs from the same contravention!
Please post up one of these 'letters', assuming that apart from dates and PCN nos. they are identical..
When posting docs here, redact only name & address - leave all else in.
Sorry about all the questions, but without the details it is nigh impossible for the experts here to give meaningful advice.

Hi everyone,
I was away from London, my Resident's Permit with the Council expired in that time. I come back to find my car had been impounded. To get it back, I would have to pay the impound fee as well as all outstanding PCNs. I had no idea how many there are on the car because the car was taken.
They said if I release the car, that will cover all liabilities.
So I released it; I gave them the keys and the V5C. I signed a contract; I have proof.
Now I am receiving letters from Tower Hamlets Council demanding payment for 8 different PCNs from the same contravention!
It totals £2000!
