Considering that you blew the guaranteed win by blabbing the drivers identity, inadvertently, take the £20 offer.
-
I am happy to say that although the PCN hasn’t been cancelled, they have, as a gesture of ‘goodwill’, reduced it to their ‘administration’ fee of £20. And given me an extra 14 days to pay.
-
You are probably right, am annoyed at myself for cutting it so fine in the first place. Thank you for taking the time to reply, I will let you know the outcome, but have already put £60 aside.

Just that I was dropping off someone and waiting for their helper. As I was only 46 seconds over would they consider waiving the fee? Especially as I was not parked up for more than the 30 minutes.
So if you said “I” then you identified the driver.

I think you metaphorically shot yourself in the foot.
But that’s why I asked exactly what you said, just to be sure, not a summary.

If not, read https://www.ftla.uk/private-parking-tickets/read-this-first-private-parking-charges-forum-guide/ and do what it suggests.
What exactly did you say in your appeal?

For example.
Lots of posts here for Gatwick if you look for them.

I dropped off a passenger in the drop off zone at Gatwick together with her helper as she needed assistance in getting to the desk and checking in. I was parked up for less than 30 minutes but given the additional time in the zone, including pulling into and exiting the bay and waiting for pedestrians at the crossings my stay was calculated at 30 minutes and 46 seconds. I have received a PCN for this. I was aware of the rule of staying no more than 30 minutes but assumed this meant being stationary. I have appealed for some leniency but have yet to hear back. In the meantime, if anyone has any relevant experience of something like this then please let me know.
Thank you very much
