Most councils allow the blue badge exemption on yellow lines but Westminster is not one of them, which is why you got the PCN.

But we've seen them cancel for hospital appointments before, so this well worth a polite ask on the basis that it is unusual for the exemption not to be given.

You are parked on a single yellow line on Bouverie Place, Paddington, which is in CPZ B7. According to the map the restricted hours are Monday-saturday 8.30am to 6.30pm. Here is the sign on Lancaster Gate as you approach the left turn to take you up to where you parked. All the Westminster CPZs are large and if there are no repeater signs anywhere, could be appealed on that aspect. However Westminster will never give way, so you'd have to take them to London Tribunals with the full PCN penalty in play.

It is very unwise to park on a single yellow line in central London without first finding out what the restrictions are. Lack of sign does not mean there is no restriction, it is almost certainly in a CPZ with signs at the entrances to the zone. A CPZ controls the single yellow line restrictions so a council doesn't have to put signs up by all the yellow lines.

Hi All,

My parents were at an appointment in St Mrys Hospital and looking for somewhere to park. They have a Blue Badge. They found a space on Bouverie Place
Map Link (https://www.google.com/maps/place/Queen+of+Sheba+London/@51.517371,-0.1717911,3a,90y,220.73h,83.19t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s9MBNOUMHmIBhkMSAtb04iw!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D6.811046086661548%26panoid%3D9MBNOUMHmIBhkMSAtb04iw%26yaw%3D220.72694932240205!7i16384!8i8192!4m6!3m5!1s0x48761ab376a3eb23:0x3249c1e459f46b31!8m2!3d51.5174346!4d-0.1716771!16s%2Fg%2F1tmxw1_d?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDcwOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D)

There are no parking signs on this side of the road at all, the next road is double yellow and the other side is residents only. They put the Blue Badge on display correctly but they received the attached PCN.

Is there something I am missing with regards to the signage for this location?

Thanks

Mo
