Why did the Keeper throw you under the bus, so to speak?
The advantage you have is that UKPC will eventually issue a claim through DCB Legal which, when defended, will eventually be discontinued, as long as you don't cave in to all the debt recovery letters you will eventually receive. Debt collectors are powerless to actually do anything except to try and persuade the low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree to pay up out of ignorance and fear.
The process is likely to take around nine months to a. year until it is discontinued or struck out. If you want to fight it and not pay a penny to UKPC then you will have to agree to follow the advice. If not, it's your money and you can take advantage of the "mugs discount".
