Yes, a private hire. The wheel got punctured and I had to stop at the first opportunity to fix it, otherwise I would be commeting unsafe driving, the tire could go flat at any moment causing hazard to other road users as well as myself and my vehicle. Luckily I had  no passengers on board at the time. Do I have a valid ground with the red route restriction? Strange that about 5 more cars were parking at the same time too!!

Are you private hire, or a licenced Hackney Cab ?.  THe sign only covers Hackney Cabs not private hire. YOUr best approach is probably the tyre problem. Please tell us more about this.

Hello, I received this PCN for stopping at 23:13.

The sign reads:

RED ROUTE

No stopping at any time

Except 10am-4pm

Loading

max 20 mins

7pm-7am

Taxis only

I am a licensed TFL driver, and I was in the area for my driving job.

I only stopped there to fix my tire. Which is an emergency to prevent driving with unsafe wheel.

Do I have grounds to appeal? How do I do that?

Thank you.
