Title: Re: Help with GATSO camera calculation

They appear to be 1.5m spacing.

I make it just under 6 marks, so 5.7 x 1.5 x 2 (as 0.5s interval) = 17.1m/s = 38mph

Doppler radar.

The dragon's teeth are for a manual secondary check. If you know the line spacing, the number of line spaces passed and the interval (0.5s in this case) you can work out the speed.
Title: Help with GATSO camera calculation

Hello

Feel very very silly but wanted to ask if anyone knows how  GATSO calculate the speed on their cameras. I've received a NIP but I don't recall going the speed they state (If I was then I totally deserve the ticket and will take the speed awareness course) and I was about to respond but logged on to see the images they attached as evidence.

I'm looking at the images and can't for the life of me work out how they calculated 38mph from the images provided. So far I've only been able to calculate using the information online and keep coming under 30mph. I had bought the car the day before and it was definitely more powerful than my 15 year old manual that I've been driving so it is possible I did do that which again is not acceptable and I'll take the course and do better but I genuinely don't recall going any faster than the limit as my car will alert me if I go over/ get close to the limit.

Thanks in advance.
