Thanks Sheila - I've not seen one of these crop up for a while but we did used to see them every so often on PePiPoo. Once they're rumbled the website shuts down, then another pops back up some time later.
Would you be able to share redacted copies of the notices the person received, so that folks know what to look out for?

Yesterday, I received an enquiry from an individual who had received two notices in the post from a company called High Court Bailiffs seeking payment of £698.62 together with a 'Compliance Fee' of £75. They claim to be enforcing private parking tickets on behalf of a company trading as Parking Charge Limited. For the avoidance of doubt, the parking company does exist. They are registered on Companies House and they are also BPA Members.
The 2nd letter looks very similar to an official Notice of Enforcement....except, that the notice is titled: Notice if Removal Action is Initiated.
This document has the same amount shown for the 'debt' but there are two separate fees being charged; an Enforcement Stage Two fee of £495 and a 'Sale & Disposal Fee' of £525. The total requested amount being £1,796.12. This letter warns that unless payment is made that a High Court Enforcement Officer would attend the premises to remove goods.
To make payment, the notice instructs the individual to visit their website at: www.hcdeo.org. That website had since disappeared.
There are a number of online posts about these letters and Action Fraud has been notified. An MP is also investigating.
Anyone receiving letters from this company....DO NOT PAY.
