Title: Re: Access to ANPR camera recording for other purposes.

ANPR cameras do not record video. The feed is constantly monitored by software. If the software detects what it think is a number plate a still image from the video feed is stored.

iirc the cctv footage of you is your data to which you are entitled access. cctv footage of you personal posessions ie your car, may not be considered your data.
you can but try.

I am associated with a company that uses both CCTV and ANPR in their car park.
The ANPR cameras are mounted on one meter high posts at the entry /exits and take a snapshot of the registration plate to enable automatic calculation of parking time. They do not operate continuously but are activated by sensors on the approach of a vehicle.
The CCTV (used for other purposes) does however operate 24/7 but does NOT particularly cover the entry/exit area.
If the company does have CCTV you dont have any automatic right to access it. Company use of CCTV is highly regulated (I don’t know the inns and outs of it) but they will not release it to you without very good reason. Don’t forget the company has no idea to what use you might put any released CCTV.

Others may correct me if I'm wrong, but it is my understanding that ANPR is not CCTV, and does not save a continuous recording of video.

I was reversed into by another car in a local shop car park.   They use ANPR for parking control, but have no other CCTV outside.  It is likely that the incident was within the area covered by the camera.
If I request any video that the parking company have of my vehicle, are they legally obliged to provide it?
