GSV appears to show a multi restriction sign on the A13, there's another as you turn into Branch Street, and another at the final entrance, and then there's a separate 2T sign after it.  Seems a tall order to convince the adjudicator that signage is inadequate... but see the sticky above from cp8759, as this is a TFL PCN it may be open to challenge.

Thank you for your response, I have attached a copy of the ticket for reference.

I completely agree, its almost dangerous trying to read all the signs and keep your eyes on the road, especially when you're not familiar with the area.

Please post the PCN, with only name and address redacted.

We've seen quite a few of these Rotherhithe Tunnel PCNs and, to be frank, those who have taken the matter to London Tribunals haven't got on well. The heavily reduced weight limit is fairly recent, and having seen the signs array, could well be too much for a driver to take in whilst proceeding at 20mph. There are six symbols for prohibited traffic; far too much to take in whilst approaching at 20mph, the symbols for weight limit (2 tonnes) is so small it is almost impossible to read the '2t' on the truck symbol until going past it.

However, so far, the adjudicators have sided with TfL, but I don't think anybody has appealed so far on the lareg number and small size of the signs for prohibited traffic. OK if it's one on its own, but with six ?

I have received a ticket from TFL for driving through the Rotherhithe Tunnel in a van, apparently due to weight restrictions. I don't usually live or work over that side of town and haven't been through the tunnel before.

When approaching the tunnel there is an overwhelming number of signs to read, that in the moment I couldn't take in and figure out where I was going. Funnily enough, I also entered the tunnel after 2 other vans, so didn't think anything of it.

I was wondering if there is any way to dispute this at all? Its quite a hefty fine at £160!

Any help would really be appreciated.

Let me know if you need any more info.
