Title: Notes FOI PCN Contravening the bus gate on Bridge Street over the Albert Bridge, Manchester
Post by: Rugger on June 05, 2025, 01:00:26 pm
We got a PCN for the bus gate at Bridge Street over the Albert Bridge. Multiple in fact, a bit of a nightmare, rules in Scotland with bus lanes etc. seem different from England and Manchester.

Anyway, I ended up paying two of them as I'm just juggling too much to get embroiled in an exchange with the council which is no doubt what they hope for with people.

But I did do a freedom of information request and am leaving it here in case it helps inform anyone on what they want to do. Good luck!

In reply to Q8 and Q9, mitigating circumstances for a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) are specific reasons offered by the driver as to why a penalty might be reduced or cancelled. These reasons are often related to an individual's situation and may not apply to everyone. They are not the same for all situations, and their acceptance depends on the mitigation offered.
