One option to consider is to appeal on the basis of a “keying error”, providing the details of the wrong car’s registration for which you paid, and they should settle for £20 in administration costs.

Hi,
I have received PCN for not paying for carpark, however I have paid for 2 hours on 'pay-by-phone' app but selected the wrong car.
Paid for 16:19 - 18:19
Time in carpark: 1h 26mins
Arrival time: 16:18
Departure time: 17:45
Clearly can see that I have paid 1 minute after arriving.
Appeal procedure states that if appeal is submitted, the discount rate is void and have to pay original amount of £100 instead of £60.
Is it worth to challenge this honest mistake or paying it at discounted rate?
thank you for your help!
