Hello, I would really appreciate some advice from the members. I parked near my home in Westminster in resident parking for which I hold a valid permit in a bay that was close to a suspended space but was NOT suspended. The following day the council suspended also the bay I was in (as evidenced by the suspension sign printed on the day) and issued me with a PCN. I appealed on the basis of absence of compliant my vehicle was not in contravention but the council rejected my appeal. It seems very unfair as I do not see how I could have avoided this situation. Would you advise me to do the formal appeal? I am a pensioner and very concerned about the cost of doubling the fine from £80 to £160.
