Given how much parking companies hate cancelling charges, if I were a betting man, I'd say it was your complaint to Premier Inn that sorted it.
Either way, a good outcome!

Well, would you believe it.
I have received two letters from Parkmaven saying that they have accepted my appeal and have cancelled the two parking charge notices which were outstanding.
As mentioned above I contacted both the Premier Inn and the parking control company Parkmaven asking for these two notices to be lifted.
Of course it would be uncharitable for me to think that the parking control company took this action because they were instructed to do so by the Premier Inn.
Anyway a good outcome.

Sorry about the slight delay in replying. I have been busy eroding the country's infrastructure by using the boss's coach.
The keeper has contacted the Premier Inn through their complaints system politely requesting that they ask their company that controls parking to withdraw the notices.
The parking control company has been requested to review their data.
I will have a go at masking any identifying info on the two notices and post them up here. I am not well practised at this sort of thing.

Your first step should be to speak to the management of the hotel and see if they will intervene. Be polite but persistent.
Can we see the notice you have received?

While on holiday the driver spent one night at the Premier Inn at Carlisle.
On arrival the driver entered the vehicle details on the terminal at reception as prompted to by the receptionist.
Parking is free to residents for the duration of their stay.
An hour or so later before going out for a short time that evening, the driver entered again the vehicle details at the same terminal.
The keeper has now received 2 Notice to Keeper parking charge notices relating to that stay for each entry and exit. 2 x £100 reduced to 2 x £60 if paid within 14 days, that is by tomorrow. All documents can be posted here later if required.
The driver is adamant that the correct vehicle registration number was entered and has done this procedure many times before at other locations.
What to do now?
With your agreement, I will post a simple appeal asking for a review of the data held by Parkmaven to stay the £100 payments. I have every confidence that this will be rejected.
Are there better grounds for a proper, more thought out, appeal later?
My next move would be to contact Premier Inn and ask them to have the parking charges withdrawn.
Your advice would be appreciated.
