If you could take pictures of the part of the street where you parked showing any markings or signs or lack of them between the bus stop and the other end that would maybe help.

At the moment, you are still within the discount period. So you should submit an informal challenge based on what has been advised as a case. When they inevitably reject, they will reoffer the discount. At that point you can decide. If you just cough-up now, you are gifting them money.

Hello,
I appreciate you all giving ideas - but I am not really following if I have a case or not to appeal or if I should just pay.
Thanks! :)

I've no idea what a Permit [Waiting] Zone is.
It's not a specified traffic sign.
https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2016/362/schedule/5/made
And it's contradictory i.e. the blue and red symbol indicates that the sign regulates waiting whereas 'Permit' refers to parking places.
It's a sort of reverse permit parking zone seems to me - usually signed bays are exemptions to permit parking, which is on unmarked kerbsides.
Here if there is no marked bay where the OP was maybe we can argue the correct contravention should have been an 01.

Hi,
The section I parked - the beginning of the Dollis Hill Road has a single yellow and then no markings, which is a space for 2-3 cars then the bus stop. This is always full of cars everyday.
I parked there because it was available, not to avoid any restrictions. I usually move the car to another street on Event Days, but missed this date.
OP5 - I do not know what this is referencing. The stretch of road is in front of a church, no houses until after the bus bay.
So parking in a non-marked bay is a contravention?
Many thanks!

Sorry yes but it looks to be a permit parking area.
What would be the contravention for not being in a marked bay?

GSV isn't much help.
From what I can see, it's a Restricted Parking Zone, hence no yellow lines anywhere. But this is not the issue.
In order for the contravention to hold, you had to be parked within a marked parking place. The sign is not pertinent at this stage. The order is:
Road marking, then
Traffic sign.
Within a RPZ, no road marking = no contravention of this type.
OP, where were you parked? The PCN gives 'OP5', is this a reference to a property number or what?
The aerial view suggests that every length of street has a marking where one is required e.g. bus stop, zebra crossing, parking place etc. The only lengths not marked are dropped footways(vehicle access and pedestrian) and the configuration of the footway slabs adjacent to your car suggests this is where you were parked. If so, this is a 24/7 contravention. If you were(in order to avoid marked bays) then don't repeat, you could be towed away.

Thank you! I have always paid fines so hoping I can appeal this one.
Appreciate your help!
Have a good weekend!

It's a controlled zone so everything must be a yellow line or parking bay (bar bus stops etc).
If it looks like a bit of unrestricted kerbside then you could say there is no contravention.
Take some pics of where you parked.

Hello,
Where I parked - this one section has no bay marked as you can see in the pictures and there is actually no signage. The parking sign is not nearby, but further up the road and another but different sign opposite.
What would you suggest - appeal based on being local and missing the date or lack of signage or bay marked?
Many thanks!
-
If you weren't in what is clearly a bay there may be something here such as wrong contravention.
-
oh rubbish! I missed that one :-[
Thank you!

England played Latvia at Wembley on Monday so I think you may be stuffed with this but as a local you could try discretion.
It was an evening match so enforcing not long after 10am is rather mean.

Hello,
I received a parking ticket - notice states: parked in a permit space or zone without a valid virtual permit or clearly displaying a valid physical permit where required.
The street view here - sorry it is grainy:
https://www.google.com/maps/@51.557894,-0.2483889,3a,15y,42.48h,91.05t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s2IL-Sk30LIt4ib7mgh62sA!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D-1.0505580468280442%26panoid%3D2IL-Sk30LIt4ib7mgh62sA%26yaw%3D42.482009780880055!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDMyMy4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
The signage says Wembley Stadium Permit Zone EV on event days 10am to Midnight, except permit holders in marked bays.
https://www.brent.gov.uk/parking-roads-and-travel/parking/wembley-event-day-parking/wembley-event-day-parking-restrictions
I live locally and don't hold a parking permit as live in a new build so not eligible. Tt was NOT an event day so I believe I can park here with no restrictions.
The only thing to note is that I parked on the left of the street, next to the church in front of the bus stop, that the markings on the road are faint/ not very visible.
Please help!
Thank you so much :)
