ended up with 4pts and whopping 1K to pay ..
One would expect a band B fine with a 1/3 discount for your guilty plea (plus costs and VS).
What did you put down as your income? It sounds right for about £50k.

I'd just send back the plea as quick as possible - they tend to look at this favourably.
I've just been done 5 points and a fine for doing the same speed - 35 in a 20.
If you've got a clean licence, hopefully this helps you.
I'd avoid wasting your money and the solicitors time to get something worded - if you word it as you have said in your post, they would probably question your driving in the first place.
Good luck!

Usually not worth putting anything.
Likely outcome is 5 points.
If they are considering a ban then you'll be offered a court date.

Hi All
About to plead guilty on my SJP,
There is a section on the form marked
"What do you want the court to consider about your guilty plea(s)" do people normally fill this in?
in my case I have no recollection of how I missed the speed limit in that location, am usually quite careful with these things. Was thinking of putting something along the lines of, "It is a temporary lapse in concentration, and have changed my driving style since to not make the same mistake again"
Is it worth getting a solicitor to word that section for me?
Don't really want to get banned, as have to ferry the kids around, and looking to minimize the number of points I get
thanks
