Did you ever file an appeal or did you just ignore the 28 day deadline?

The Notice of Rejection dated 20/12/2023 included a code to register an appeal with the Independent Adjudicator (London Tribunals). and a paper form if you wished to do it manually.

Did you register an appeal? If so when?

Since you've had to pay £165 that suggests that you received a Charge Certificate. What's the date on the Charge Cert?

You didn't want to take this to an adjudicator?  How did this get to £165? That should only happen if you ignore the NTO deadlines.

Please give us more info so we see if we can help.  But usually if you pay that's case closed.

Thought I would update this post for anyone reading. I ended up paying a £165 fine today, despite feeling that this ticket was issued unfairly and incorrectly wish I had just paid the reduced £55 fine and saved my mental health.

Hang fire til after the holiday I am sure the advice will be to take this to tribunal as the resolution allows footway parking on the whole of the street

It would be much more advisable that you post up the NTO and then wait for CP i think that the resolution allows parking throughout but let him confirm and direct you

I'm reaching out to inform you that I've recently received a 'Notice to Owner' document, following the rejection of my initial appeal. I noticed that you messaged me on October 17th, mentioning 'EIR,' which I've since learned stands for 'Evidence of Irregularity.'

Would it be advisable to include these three images/items when making my representation? Should I provide a detailed explanation of the situation, or should I keep my message concise? I'm feeling quite nervous about this appeal/representation, and any guidance you can provide would be immensely appreciated.

I note one of the pictures discusses parking on a dropped kerb, i just wanted to clarify this spot is not actually a dropped kerb (nor is it double yellow lines as a user on pepipoo seemed to think)

I challenge liability for PCN AF06489969 on the ground that the alleged contravention did not occur. The Area 3 committee held Area 3 Committee resolved on Wednesday, 22nd January, 2014 7.15 p.m. to approve the Area 3 footway parking report, which lifted the footway parking ban from the entirety of Harewood Drive.

It follows that the alleged contravention did not occur, and the penalty charge must be cancelled.

Send these online and keep a screenshot of the confirmation screen. We would expect the council to reject but don't be put off, just post up the rejection when you receive it and we'll explain the next steps.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum, and I'm seeking some advice regarding what I believe to be an unfairly and confusingly placed parking ticket. Any help or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Here's the situation: I parked in a spot that is commonly used by parents dropping off their children at the nearby Primary school. My intention was to drop off my kids and attend a Healthy Lifestyle talk at the school. However, upon returning to my car, I was dismayed to find a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) on my windshield. I admit that I made an oversight by not closely examining the blue sign on the lamppost near my car. I was misled by the fact that the entire length of the rest of the road permits drivers to park on the kerb.

I want to highlight that my pictures clearly show that I was not obstructing the pavement in any significant way. A wheelchair could easily pass through the space I occupied. Moreover, if I had parked with all my wheels on the road, it would have almost certainly obstructed the road, which is typically very busy with school drop-off traffic, as well as making it very difficult for cars to enter & leave the driveway opposite my parking position.

What adds to my frustration is that I always make an effort to park legally in this area, despite it often being filled with illegally parked cars during drop-offs. These illegally parked cars frequently block residents' driveways and park on double yellow lines. Strangely, I have never seen a traffic warden in this area before, which makes it all the more perplexing that they happened to be present at 9:30 AM when the school drop-off traffic had already dissipated.

I have included links to all the relevant evidence, including photos, two short videos that depict (1) the surrounding area where I parked, and, perhaps most importantly, (2) a video of a drive along the road where I received the PCN (I pass the space at approximately 0:23 seconds into the video). Additionally, I've included a Google Street View link that shows a car parked in the exact position I was in for reference. Please note that I tried to avoid taking photos in the direction of the school as there were children playing in the playground at the time.
