Hi,
I got a 47J (Stopped on a restricted bus stop/stand) PCN, in front of Ealing Broadway Station.
I stopped for less than 30 seconds to drop off someone but the only visible signage was the painted on the road BUS STOP with a thick yellow line. However, I revisited the area and on the side there is a sign ( No stopping except local buses). This sign is small and not easily visible when a person is driving as its not facing the driver but people crossing the road from the other end.
The question here is the PCN shows the location as Gunnersbury Lane Acton (912) and the video footage shows it as 900 Haven Green/Ealing Broadway. Am I able to contest on the basis that the PCN has inaccurate information compared to the CCTV video and photo footage?
Thanks

You can try saying you were being cautious but obviously there was nothing preventing you proceeding past the vehicle ahead and staying out of the bus stop and you were way back.
The sign below is the key for a bus stop clearway and it was there on Google Maps.
That overnight parking sign shouldn't be there and may be left over from a yellow line now gone.
Post the PCN redacting only name and address.

Hi,
I got a 47J (Stopped on a restricted bus stop/stand) PCN, in Ealing (Medway Parade).
I stopped for less than a minute, as there was an elderly pedestrian ahead of me getting into their car. That junction is often crowded, with people going into shops/getting into their car & I just wanted to be safe.
Evidence can be seen here (https://imgur.com/a/nun46X1)
As far as I can see, the only signage was the painted BUS STOP line. There is also a NO STOPPING sign, that indicates Midnight-8AM & 6:30PM-Midnight (which I assume is only for buses and lorries, also shown here https://imgur.com/a/nun46X1)
Am I able to contest? Either on the basis of safety (not wanting to hit pedestrians), or time (less than a minute), or some other grounds?
