The process for dealing with motoring offences changed w.e.f. 27th February for all case to be submitted via Common Platform meaning that if a valid on-line plea is entered, the case is ready to be put before the next SJP.
Yes but just because they go directly onto CP does not mean that they lose their ranking in the 'stack'.
Some LJA's have significant backlogs. Clearly South West London is not one of them.

Yes - shows the date of conviction as 14/03/2025

I've logged onto view my driving licence online and it looks like I've been given 5 points plus a fine of £492 without any of the extra charges they will tag on...
That seems very quick if you only received the SJPN two days ago.

Thanks - I'm aware they need to add on the other charges. By being able to see the endorsement online it is just a weight off my mind knowing that I am not looking at a ban.
The DVLA site shows the endorsement (points and endorsement code) and the fine. It does not show the surcharge or prosecution costs.

I will be driving very VERY carefully for the foreseeable. Lesson has been well and truly learnt.

As andy_foster has already said, your speeding falls into Band B which is 31-40mph in a 20mph limit.
This will attract between 4 and 6 points or a short ban.
Although not an exact science, unless there is some other aggravating factor you have not mentioned (such as passing a school at kicking-out time or similar) then 35mph is pretty much in the middle of the scale.
Almost certainly 5 points.

An SJPN commences proceedings against you. By definition, you cannot be banned before proceedings have commenced.

So today I received an SJPN to submit my plea.
I've just submitted a guilty plea, but I'm now wondering, does this mean I'm still at risk of being banned from driving or if they were going to do this, they would have done so already?

Band B covers 31-40mph in a 20mph limit - which is 4-6 points *or* a short ban - so probably 5 points, 100% weekly takehome pay fine (minus 1/3 discount for an early guilty plea). And 40% "surcharge" on the fine, and ~£95 prosecution costs for a guilty plea or ~£620 prosecution costs if you lose a contested trial.

Received a NIP early February after being caught by a mobile camera device, doing 35mph in a 20mph zone.
Second offence, already have 6 points on my licence.
Received a response thanking me for my response and because I was going too fast, court proceedings are being initiated and I will receive communication shortly to advise of options available to me.
What am I looking at, realistically?
Please don't comment with anything unhelpful.
