Hi there,
Thanks for your reply!
The permit expired early February this year.
The PCN's were issued on the 26th/27th and 28th - I've had to pay the first one so as not to have to pay the full amount, but was about to enter an appeal for the other two.
I got the new permit last week on the 7th.
Is there anything else I should do or just lodge an appeal with those (hopefully mitigating) circumstances in place?
Best,
J

When did the permit expire and what are the dates of the PCNs.
It looks like they did exercise some grace before issuing, as the correct contravention for an expired permit is a lower level code 19 but after say 2 weeks or depending on policy they'll go up to a code 12 as though there hadn't been a permit.
So paying one and asking for the the other two to be cancelled may be your best bet - you can say it is effectively a continuous contravention although the bay is not 24/7 or just ask for discretion without saying that.
Also, have you now got a permit and from what date. You may be able to ask for discretion on all three owing to being a long time resident, and being away etc.

Hi Folks,
Hope you can help me.
Family and I went to Amsterdam for the week to visit my 83yo ill father.
As we were travelling with heavy suitcases and my daughter, who has a disability can get a bit anxious, we drove down with them and then dropped the car at the edge of our parking zone (but still within it).
Unfortunately as the email had disappeared in my spam folder, I'd missed a renewal email for my parking permit which had lapsed early Feb.
Whilst we were away we got issued 3 PCN's on 3 consecutive days for Contr.code 12.
I'm of course aware that renewing the permit is my own responsibility, and I've frustratingly not missed renewing it for the past 10 years until now.
That said, we're financially struggling and if it's at all possible, would like to avoid having to pay all 3 of them - I'm happy to pay one but like to see if there's a way to avoid paying the others.
Here are the links, hope you can help...thanks in advance.
