Hi all, I had a hire vehicle when my car got driven into given by the insurance company, gave it back, moved house from wembley to grenwich. i have an electric car normally and autopay setup for congestion. i paid the congestions manually for this hire car, apparently i missed 8 it seems (i drive into london every day for work), marston turned up regarding it and another thing, paid an amount for them to go away so i could deal with these otherwise it's about £4,500 for these 8. filled in the forms and sent to the tec, I asked their collegue and they said send in the completed forms, a cover letter, request that it is dealt with as 1 case to not waste the courts time with 8 for the same thing, same month, same car, same person. I had researched this and they confirmed this should happen. I did so, they said give it 4-6 weeks for it to work through the system then once this is looked at and approved i can pay one fee to have one court date to challenge all 8 so i can pay off the tickets (not the 4.5k with marston), I did.

They sent it back saying you didn't pay the fee so it's all refused. I spoke to them again, they said send in a completed form requesting one ticket to go to court, then call and pay the fee 4-6 weeks later but add a document with your request for all 8. today is the day I called to pay this one fee for this court date to hopefully fix everything. the person I spoke to said 'no matter what the court will never dealt with more than one pcn in a court hearing, I said surely it's an enourmous waste of the courts time to have a judge having his day filled with 1 person 8 times for the same thing? say basically gave me an answer which eluded to 'I've told you once, you're wasting my time if i have to repeat it again'.
I'm currently in the queue to pay the court for this one court date so that is done but can anyone help with how to move forward with this?

the TEC are telling me two different things
the internet says that consolodating tickets of the exact same thing on different dates is a standard thing in the right circumstances.
paying £2,900 to spend all day in court compared to £4,500 with marston (who currently are not chasing me) seems awful.
ideally I want to go to court, be told i can pay the original congestion penalties with tfl at the original price (i have a number of receipts for congestion charge i paid for it and so am not certain they are all valid pcn's for it but I just want it gone without bancrupting me)

As I'm now being told conflicting information from the TEC I'm needing a little help if anyone knows the best way to proceed I'd be really grateful for some help.

Thanks in advance,

Si

This is a general announcement that all TFL's PCNs for red routes / moving traffic / bus lane contraventions have a number of systemic flaws that render them all open to challenge, but only if the motorist does not take any action without being given some specific instructions which I'd rather not ventilate publicly. Anyone with a TFL PCN should contact me directly and I'll deal with them.

This does not apply to ULEZ/LEZ, the congestion charge or the Blackwell and Silvertown tunnel PCNs.

If TFL are reading this, I promise you I'm really, really not trying to target you more than any other authority, it's just that your processes are $hit and have more holes than a sieve, that's not my fault.

Come across this website today after reading a red route sign incorrectly (definitely my fault) and noticing there was a CCTV camera moving to face where my vehicle was parked. Checked my dash cam and I had parked in a red route bay where loading is allowed between 10am and 4pm. red route enforceable between 7-7. I parked for ~5 minutes at 9:14am.

Send a dm regarding this post in preparation for what’s to come in the mail. Thanks for your contribution- I can see you’ve helped many people through this site!

Any advise on a PCN issued in Haringay
area.

The inspector waited exactly 7mins and when I disputed the sign all he said was appeal it

Hi, I am after some advice if anyone can help, i went through Blackwall and Silvertown, I paid the fee the next morning but I hadn't realised that I had put the payment date down as the crossing date which should have been the day before.
They are saying I need to pay because it's my fault putting the wrong date, which I feel  is wholly unfair, i have paid and within the time frame and I only went through once.
Thanks
Lee

Hello.

I have received a bus lane PCN - Should I post here, or in the PCN forum. I have read the sticky, but which would seem to say post in the PCN forum. But now reading this sticky I am a little confused. I just don't want to post in the wrong place.

If someone would please advise. I would be grateful.

Thank You

Hello , I have a pcn. Let me know what you do?

It’s for the new Blackwall tunnel. I am hoping I can dispute on first time grounds.

Well now I am kicking myself because today I paid a red route PCN, after having requested the photo and video evidence (utterly ridiculous to have to write to them to request, and then get sent the video on a CD!) ... the video did show me clearly parking in a loading-only zone (perhaps stupidly, but the sign wasn't obviously visible from where I parked. Not really a defense though!) ...  I am contemplating posting the letters and photo/video evidence just to see whether anyone says that I could have escaped the charge, as useful information should I make the same mistake in the future.

There is a CC PCN here:
https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/cc-pcn/

Lost cause though as it's far too late.

I did realise but thought you wanted to see a CC PCN

https://www.ftla.uk/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=5397.0;attach=12882;image

(but it's only page 1 - @sabitasin seems to be still active, so he may see this and post remaining pages if it is going to help others)
