Title: Re: PCN: Got a parking ticket with a valid (?) ink written day permit

I have no idea what weird format those photos were in, but I've managed to use an online converter to turn then into PNGs, I also turned the CEO's photo you posted the right way up as the copy you uploaded has been turned upside down for some strange reason:

Please post the front of the PCN, and please read the guide here (https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/read-this-first-before-posting-your-case!-this-section-is-for-council-tfl-dartme/) before doing so.

Also please post the instructions which I'm guessing are printed on the back of the permit.

Same here, files won't open.

The one pic of the permit leaves little doubt why the PCN was served.
And no idea why the ink would fade and return...almost like invisible ink in reverse.
I can only think that heat had affected the ink?

Might be worth experimenting with the pen and heat (don't mess with the permit) to see if you can reproduce.... though TBH, not sure how good a defence even if you can show.

Still no good.  I see no PCN and two of your jpeg files are corrupted according to my photo editor

I got given a parking ticket but have a valid (?) day permit.

I have one of those valid for one day only permits which you have to cross/circle the month, date, day and put your number plate on.Used these plenty of times and no issues.I filled it in with black pen as per, checked it before leaving to make sure you could see it/it had the correct day because I am very prone to mistakes.

Come back a few hours later and can see a bright yellow parking ticket on my car, I was confused because I was sure I put a permit out; I did indeed put a permit out, although the writing looked really worn-out/faded which was weird but you could still see it.

When I got home I noticed the writing on the permit was clear?? I even put it back under the window to see if I used some weird pen, but again I can see the permit perfectly. I looked at the (very poor) quality photos uploaded by the officer and it honestly looks like the permit has been written in pencil that has been aggressively rubbed out.

It was very bright outside and the only reason I can think of is because the sun/reflection?

Normally I would take the hit but I am really reluctant to pay for this, but at the same time saying 'well I think the weather made the writing disappear' sounds like something a six year old would say, I don't think it will hold up with the council.

Any thoughts?
