Thanks for your replies. I can't find the ticket and I don't have anyone who can vouch for me being ill so will probably pay up as I don't think I'm likely to win an appeal

Were you alone whilst ill ? If not, and somebody was looking after you, they can write a Witness Statement to support your narrative in your representations. Were you off work ? If so, a letter from your employer would also support your reps.

My car was parked near my house in a Brent council resident parking bay for which I have a residents parking permit, but the bay was temporarily suspended while I was unwell. I found a PCN four days after it was issued so challenged it on the grounds of being unaware of the suspension due to illness but, it's been rejected.
Is there any precedent for successfully appealing a PCN through London Tribunals in these circumstances?
