Sorry I have not joined in earlier. You would have had a case on their website issues re threats to increase.

Hello

All of you have been very helpful.
After reading few initial messages, I felt no hope and I paid it last night ( £65)
However, looking back, perhaps I should have waited a bit and asked for some compassion based on the fact it was only
just 15 mins before the time I was allowed to park there for free. But hey ho, it is done. Do feel bad about it that I should have
taken this chance but whatever happened, happened.

Thankyou all

There is a time stamp on the pictures. I take it they calibrate the cameras they use and that they can prove that time is correct?

Bang to rights means you have no chance unless that timeplate isn't there but it was in July lat year as you can just see:

You can try asking for discretion of course as it was close to the end of the restricted time of 18:30.

Thank you for looking into this. So in the above comment what is your understanding? I did not understand "bang to rights...."

If that timeplate is there as per the shot I took off Google Maps below then you are bang to rights except that I've looked at the council's pics and there is no pic of the timeplate which is odd.

In winter whenever it gets dark, you feel that it is evening and parking on a single yellow is fine, but it was not this time:(
So you never looked for the sign giving the yellow line restrictions, then ?

There are two exemptions to the restricted times, (1) loading/unloading, (but not shopping), and (2) boarding/alighting passengers.

On what grounds do you think it could be challenged? You'll have to say why you parked there at least.

I got a parking tick in Southwark on a weekday around 6:15pm.
Is it worth appealing?
