We can guide you through the process and I could even act as your representative in court
Sorry for the very delayed reply. Thank you for your offer and advice, it was very generous to offer your time in court. In the end, I decided it wasn't worth my time, however frustrating it is and how I think it's a massive money grab from the council.
Thanks again. Happy Holidays.

Well realistically you'll have to take zipcar to the small claims court to recover the money. Would you be comfortable doing that?
We can guide you through the process and I could even act as your representative in court (as long as you're also present), but you have to be up for the fight, otherwise there's no point.
You can forget about challenging the PCN itself, as paying amounts to an admission of liability (which is why you can sue Zipcar, they've unlawfully deprived you of the right to appeal, which is arguably illegal).

The PCN is paid, so you cannot appeal. The PCN was issued to Zipcar who paid it, so you have no standing in the matter. Zip car could, of course, have submitted reps giving your name and address as the hirer on the day the PCN was issued, but chose not to. I expect it is all in their conditions of hire.

First-time poster: I rented a van through Zipcar and have just been billed £80 for a PCN (£65 for fine, £15 for admin).
This is a road I've driven on a few times over the last 10 years and maybe call me un-aware but the no-entry sign I thought was for the car park on the left. The times I'd driven over it in the past, I hadn't got a PCN, and looking at Google Street View there were times when you could drive over the bridge...
Zipcar had already paid the fine and charged my card.
Searching here and Pepipoo this is a camera that's caught a lot of people with its confusing signage. Now though looks like it's pretty clear and I made the mistake. I just wanted some advice on this situation and if I could/should appeal as money is really tight for me at the moment and might have to start intermittent fasting this month!
Thanks for your help.
