I think it's a two step process - add car to account, add it to autopay? Not sure.
But a polite challenge may see it cancelled if you can say what was confusing.

I’m not sure why it wouldn’t work because it worked up until the part where it should’ve added the car to autopay. To clarify it correctly removers my previous car and registered my new one but somehow did not transfer the new vehicle to autopay which is so weird?

Can you work out why autopay didn't work?

Good evening, i have recently received a letter saying i need to pay for congestion charge. In my old car I had auto pay set up and I changed to this car in November (around the 10th). Therefore, I went to the website, took off my old car and added this one to the autopay shortly after. I have a history of always paying on time for my old car and this is the first time I entered the CCZ zone since I got this new car. Is there any way I can appeal this or ask for a grace time because apparently the autopay that I set up for the new car did not go through but the car was added to my account instead but not for autopay which is what I did? I have attached pcn to this.
