A good result. Councils often take an overly rigid stance on boarding and alighting.

OP, you're in danger of misleading us.

When you say 'left with friends' do you mean that you took them, left them, left the restaurant and then....

..or that you took your children to the restaurant as a family, stayed, had a meal and then left, hence being parked for 2hrs?

Your reference to a venue which could accommodate four families suggests the latter.
Hiya

Thanks I left them and then later went back after.

Hi CP

Thanks and yes they can provide WS. Please can you help draft these. I am just mindful of time as it’s nearly 15 days.
Kind regards

We were out from early afternoon at a park with the same friends and their kids, we then decided whilst at park that we will meet at the venue after 8pm as that can accommodate four families.
Yes these are close family friends so I left my children with them. Thanks
Can they provide witness statements? I can draft them but obviously they will need to provide their details and they will need to sign them.

Also, if everyone involved could provide screenshots of the location history from their phones, that will help corroborate your version of events.

Hi CP and thanks.
I don’t think I can use the car issue as the reason for stopping was not due to that so please ignore and apologise.

My car threw up error code which I believe is to do with some issues with the Adblue system leaking. The problem is, I use my friend who is a qualified mechanic but I do not think he is Vat registered.
Who cares about being VAT registered? The issue you haven't explained is why you through there was a problem that caused you to have to stop there. Am I right in thinking your car was fine, and while there might be some issue with the adblue, it didn't force you to stop and you just mentioned it because you thought it might help?

In your second point. I dropped the kids to a restaurant called Franzo’s, this is on the high street. I was not 100% sure what end of high street it was and not sure of parking on the high street as there are red route. I dropped the kids with friends who were already there. I have receipt for the evening if any good.
Many thanks
So how did you arrange this with your friend, text message? whatsapp?

Also, what's your connection to this friend? Presumably you must be quite close if you're leaving your children with them? Where were you going after you dropped them off?

I think there is some issue with Adblue
What issue? Why do you think there is any such issue?

as I had my 11 year old and 3 year old and was dropping them to a restaurant on the high street, is that a valid argument?
Maybe if you give us the full story. Which restaurant? Ad if you were dropping them off, who were you leaving the children with?
Thanks CP.

The PCN wording is wrong as to the 28 days to pay which should refer to the date of the alleged contravention not to date of service

Hi CP,

I think there is some issue with Adblue, anyhow, I read some more posts of yours, as I had my 11 year old and 3 year old and was dropping them to a restaurant on the high street, is that a valid argument?

Thanks!

My car engine management light was on plus there is a fault?
What fault? Has the car been to a garage? Has the fault been diagnosed?

More importantly, why have you not mentioned this before?

Well we're really scraping the bottom of the barrel here but if you want to have a go this is all I could come up with:

Dear London Borough of Tower Hamlets,

While I must accept that a contravention appears to have occurred, I would ask you to exercise your discretion on this occasion. I have not incurred a penalty charge notice from your authority for over half a decade and during a cost of living crisis, I would be highly appreciative if you could waive the penalty on this occasion. I will of course be a lot more careful going forwards.

Yours faithfully,
Thanks CP :(

This might be a tricky one. Do you have any mitigation you could put forward?
Not sure tbh.

The map tile (https://store.traffweb.app/towerhamlets/documents/parkmap/msched/Z11_rv4_1.pdf) says no waiting 7 pm to 7 am (which is the restriction we're concerned with).

It also says that the rest of the time the bay is a shared use business permit / pay and display bay, which matches the photo in the opening post.

The plate above the yellow no waiting sign is not a TSRGD authorised sign and the traffic signs manual says the sign at the top should be the yellow one, but that's thin gruel for risking the discount (but we're not at that stage yet).

I'm toying with a couple of ideas, would it be possible for you to go back and get some updated photos of the road markings? I can't see any bay markings at all in the CEO's photos.

Precisely - but I felt the current signs should match the current traffic order....

Why did you stop there, and for how long?

In the meantime:

Traffic order (https://store.traffweb.app/towerhamlets/documents/parkmap/sched/2019%20No.57%20and%202019%20No.58%20Signed%20TMO.pdf).

Hello Sir

I was there just after 8pm till 10:30. I was with family to meet few friends.

The sign in GSV

seems to relate to the traffic order and tile,
but not to the current sign on the same post shown in OP's opening post.

Dear fellow members

I have been signposted via the other forum.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I have managed to do a boo boo, where I genuinely did not fully read the signage as it was quite confusing.

I have been issued with PCN with Contravention Code 01.

This happened on Brady Street, London E1.

Thanks All and maybe I can get some guidance as I genuinely made error with signage.

Kind regards
Ali
