I just wanted to see what you thought regarding anything I could do to challenge this NIP please? Particularly as there was no obvious reason for the speed limit being lowered to 60MPH.
There's many reasons that an NIP could be challenged (eg not your car, cloned plates, alleged offence at a time when the car was parked outside the house and was empty).
"I don't think the limit should have been 60mph" isn't one of them.

Nothing that you have told us indicates a viable defence

Hello Everyone,
On the 04/02/25 I received a 'Notice of Intended Prosecution' for 'Exceed a variable speed limit - automatic camera device, M1 motorway, between Jnc 8-9 Northbound, 60MPH Variable Speed Limit'.
I was photographed travelling at 69MPH on the 03/01/25 at 04:20hrs.
The photograph shows the carriageway around me as empty - I was the only car on that section of road. There were no roadworks in that area nor were there active matrix signs for debris / broken down vehicles, etc, etc.. leading up to that area.
I just wanted to see what you thought regarding anything I could do to challenge this NIP please? Particularly as there was no obvious reason for the speed limit being lowered to 60MPH.
Your help is appreciated.
Thank You
