Title: Re: Ignoring COFP after accepting NIP

No.
Criminal proceedings are instigated by issuing a Written Charge and SJPN. This must be done within the 6 months. They are usually serve 2-3 weeks later with the bundle of initial evidence.

You will not know if/when the proceedings were instigated unless/until you receive the bundle.
Title: Ignoring COFP after accepting NIP

I received a NIP on 12th August'24 for a speeding offence (54 mph in a 40mph) on 23rd July'24. I accepted being the driver. I then received a COFP on 15th Nov'24 but ignored this. It has now been more than 6 months since the offence (only just). If I haven't received a SJPN for this am I likely to have got lucky in that I am unlikely to be prosecuted or receieve points for this offence?
