Title: Re: Richmond Council - PCN Code 21 - Was travelling & incorrect street name on PCN
Post by: crowbar6 on January 15, 2024, 06:44:14 pm
Hi everyone, happy new year!

Apologies for not posting sooner. Following the advice from this forum, I raised an 'Informal challenge' on the Council's website stating that the PCN has been incorrectly issued (incorrect street name). They then cancelled the ticket even though the car was parked in a suspended bay on another street. It took me a long time to get a written confirmation as they sent their reply by post to the Registered Keeper (I have a personal lease) and not to me initially. Took them ages to send me an email copy of their letter.

Many thanks again to this forum!

Morning crowbar6. Have you heard from the council or checked the balance on line?

What happened with this?

We have one at the moment in Essex for Sunnymeade / Sunnymede (misspelt by council).

The alleged offence did not occur.

Were you successful?

Thank you members for the swift response.

I've submitted an "informal challenge" on Richmond council's website asking for the PCN to be cancelled and await their reply.

Will update once I hear back from them.

As above, just make a representation pointing out that your car was not on Bridge Street and that should be the end of the matter.

Simple and fortunate. The alleged contravention did not occur. The council only get one chance. Go online, select the contravention did not occur ( if there are options ) and point out the road name error. That should be the end of it.

Dear Forum members,

I am a new member to FTLA and request advice regarding a PCN ticket issued by Richmond-upon-Thames Council on 21 Aug 2023 with PCN code 21 - "Parked wholly or partly in a suspended bay or space".

Here are the case details -

The pictures of the PCN and photos taken by CEO are available here (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1OKgkcfcUe0d3850GPxLxhlARQF66Y0SS).

Do I have any grounds to appeal the PCN on basis of one or both of the following?

I understand I need to pay the PCN by Sunday, 03 Sep to qualify for the 50% discount so sorry for the short notice (just heard about this forum today). I'll be very grateful for your swift guidance on this matter.

Thanks,

crowbar6
