The signs are 13.2 metres (or just under 14 1/2 yards) from the give-way line at the junction. Yes, it would have been better to have had something on the junction itself, but they aren't obliged to put them, just to follow LATOR Regulation 18

The signs for a restriction must be "adequate", a typical get-out in legislation, because it is subjective. To you. the signs placement is inadequate, but an adjudicator could well decide they are adequate.

Hi,
This was an honest mistake by the driver, however we are concerned that it happened due to the No Right Turn signage being well before the junction, and no further information provided at the junction itself.
A quick google turned up; "The aim of the introduction of the camera and more conspicuous signage..." so God knows how bad it was before!
(From https://www.carmarthenshirenewsonline.com/carmarthen-2/council-to-utilise-traffic-enforcement-cameras-to-improve-road-safety-across-carmarthenshire/#:~:text=Inkerman%20Street%20junction%20with%20Murray%20Street%2C%20Llanelli,the%20east%20of%20the%20junction. )
We are not particularly local; this is not a street we have used before and so knew none of the background and have had no previous warning letter.
The signage does not appear to conform to the guidelines we could find which all show these signs placed at the junction itself.
Carmarthenshire does not publish TROs on-line, so I have emailed to request the appropriate one.
Is this worth appealing, or should we just chalk it up?
