I spoke to venue then went in. They told me they know who I was with and is a regular, they will sort it out over the weekend. I took the receptionists  name and a copy of a the letter. They said will ger Lt cancelled so hopefully that's it.

Do please give us chance to reply! This is a busy forum and I do this as a volunteer alongside my full time job.

There is an argument to be made that ParkingEye's PCNs do not comply with the requirements of Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act, which would allow them to recover the charge from the keeper of the vehicle. If it does not comply, they can only hold the driver liable, and they don't know who that is. Opinions vary on this point - my personal view is that going to court on that point alone, without any other defence, would be a risky tactic.

Neither ParkingEye nor POPLA would accept that argument, so you'd need to be prepared to potentially argue it in court.

One thing you should definitely try is to speak to the management of the venue you were visiting, to see if they will intervene. I don't mean to sound blunt, but you could seek to play off the fact you were there as a carer for someone who is presumably disabled and/or vulnerable in some way.

That is a council permit and does not grant you special permissions on private land. As quoted on the permit:

"This permit does NOT entitle you to park: [...] on private roads or in private allocated parking spaces"

This bottom part isnt true, as instructed by my seniors just to be claer, we often have to take them out to places etc, hence why im in this situation?

The permit also makes clear that it is only for use when making home visits, although that's largely irrelevant in this case as the vehicle wasn't parked on the public highway.

I assume by no further response I should just pay up?

Kind regards

Ok so, in a new job, should have read properly and not listened to co workers? I used it once before and didnt get a letter from the parking company, could be a new system?

Shall I still fight it or just pay up?

You'll have to show us this "carer pass". Is it something like a blue badge and recognised by statutory authorities such as Councils? I seriously doubt it is anything that an unregulated private parking company will recognise.

Your Notice to Keeper (NtK) explains about the charge. You seem to be focussing on the "mugs discount". If that is all you are worried about, then you should just pay it. We are here to advise on how to fight this all the way.

Hi I have a carer pass which gives me 3 hrs parking if I have a service user with me, shall I upload it? Do you want me to take some pictures of the car park and signs etc?

Finally if I appeal does the fee stay at £60 or go to £100 even if letterm sent within 14 days?

You still have not answered these questions:

Quote
You say you put a "care badge" in the window. What is a "care badge"? Was the disabled adult a Blue Badge holder? If so, was the Blue Badge displayed? Did you use an accessible bay to park?

The PCN says that the Keeper either didn't purchase a valid pay and display permit, remained longer in the car park than the time permitted or failing to enter the VRM details into the terminal. Which was it? Were you aware that you needed to either purchase a Pay and Display permit or that you needed to enter the VRM details into a terminal in order to be permitted to park there? If not, why do you think not?

Have you tried asking the management at the venue you attended to get them to ask ParkingEye to cancel the PCN? That should always be your Plan A.

I don't think he does - the back of the notice in the opening post is from a different incident - Dave I think you've uploaded the wrong front page.

You've only shown us the back of the ParkingEye Notice to Keeper (NtK). Please show us the front too. It would be useful to see that actual signage at the location.

You say you put a "care badge" in the window. What is a "care badge"? Was the disabled adult a Blue Badge holder? If so, was the Blue Badge displayed? Did you use an accessible bay to park?

When we have seen the front of the NtK, we can check the deadline for appealing to PE as part of Plan B if Plan A does not work out.

Hi

I used to use pepipoo, but obvioulsy that has gone but I had a lot of good help from everyone there and really apprrcaited there help, when I was living in a city.

Im now out of a city and managed to get two very quickly after years without any. Anyway this one I got whilst taking a disabled adult to the bowling place. Id reviously gone there before put my care bage in the window and had no problem. this time, I did the same thing. Am I bang to rights or is there some way they are wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
