Thanks for the quick response, I stopped to go to the shop right by the bus stop! so no get-out on breakdown unfortunately

It seems your lack of knowledge of restricted bus stops has resulted in a PCN being served by post, and it is important to know that these can be enforced by CCTV. Looking at GSV, the relevant signs (actually two of them), are in place : -

If these signs hadn't been there, they could not have enforced the PCN.
Here are the relevant regulations: -

see Regulation 11
So what was the reason for stopping ? If the car broke down, this is a get-out.

Hello all
Received a PCN through the post yesterday for stopping at a restricted bus stop on the 01st November. I did stop (and for whatever reason hadn't until now realised you would be liable for a PCN) for about 2 minutes, so despite the blurriness of the image it's my vehicle. There are signs displayed (see google maps link below)
Checked the council website and it does state that they are "issuing Regulation 10 Penalty Charge Notices. This means that if you are seen, by a Civil Enforcement Officer, to be parked in a bus stop we can issue a notice by post. This will be sent to the registered keeper of the vehicle"
The photo on the PCN was taken by CCTV and not via an enforcement officer, I'm not sure if this has any bearing?

Any advice / guidance is greatly appreciated
Many thanks
