Thank you, The NIP reply going out today, and 3 other points  :-\

My mitigating circumstance would have been traffic (caught at the line whilst in heavy traffic), and medical. But it seems it will be more expensive and daunting to fight it rather than accept it.

Thank you again.

"Mitigating circumstances" should accompany a guilty plea. They are not needed in the event of a not guilty plea.

Bearing in mind that before the red light was displayed, amber (which also means "stop") would have been displayed for around three seconds, what circumstances would you suggest might lessen the seriousness of that offence?.

You (assuming it is you) may be offered a course or fixed penalty for the offence. If you want to accept either of them, you must accept the allegation as it stands. Only if your case goes to court will any mitigation be considered.

It's going to be rather difficult for anyone to offer any meaningful advice without more information. What are your proposed 'mitigating circumstances', for example?

Is there a scope for offering mitigating circumstances for 1.4 secs red light NIP? Or this is pretty much rejected and everyone pleads guilty.

Thank you
