Title: Re: PCN - Islington - while resident's permit application was being queried

There was a short gap of about six days while I was without a permit and while my permit application was "locked" in their portal (even though it had expired - this feels like a bug in the parking portal web app).

Make a list of the PCNs - date, contravention - and when did your first month run out.

Islington has had issues with its permit system so we'd hope they will cancel these.

Is your 12 month permit consecutive with the 1 month or is there a gap?
Title: PCN - Islington - while resident's permit application was being queried

I recently moved to Islington and immediately applied for a resident's parking permit (one month to begin with). Their policy for new residents is to issue the permit immediately while you provide proof of address, etc.

However, I had a bit of trouble proving my address and there was a bit of back-and-forth between them and me. Each time I submitted new evidence, the portal would lock my permit application and I was unable to make any further changes to it.

My permit expired while my application was in this "locked" state, and I was unable to extend it or apply for another. In the following days, I received four PCNs. Eventually, my application was approved and unlocked and I was able to purchase a new 12-month permit. I did not receive any additional PCNs.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before? What are my chances at an appeal?
