Post by: Bradley-29 on October 31, 2024, 02:14:47 pm
Does this apply to my case please?

First seen Tues 8th Oct 2024 15.15
Issued at Tues 8th Ocy 2024 15.15

Date of penalty charge notice 22nd Oct 2024

The amount outstanding on the charge notice will increase to £130 on Sunday 17th Nov 2024. Please pay £65.00 now.

is the date whacko? is it an unreasonable threat which infringes the statutory process?

I received a PCN for the same 'offence'. I have been going the same route to visit friends for years and this took me by surprise. It is not at all clear when travelling along Rosendale Road in Northbound direction that access to Eastmearn Road via a left turn is now prohibited. You can only see the signs when you make the turn, at which point you have drivers behind you and feel as though you have to go through and complete the turn. I realised this at the time (after seeing plant boxes) but was hoping that the system had not yet been switched on. Surely there should be some advanced warning signs on Rosendale Road to give notice of the new measures. Also, no consideration is made for non-robotic drivers who are not following a sat nav at all times! If you have travelled this route many times you do not expect a sudden change.
In my case, it occurred on 06/10, PCN was issued on 21/10, 50% 'discount'(£65) until 15/11 and then rise to £130.

Please start your own thread.

Hello
Sorry would you be able to provide a little more detail on this - there isn’t anything on the weblink about when payment has to be made by?

It is really important to check their website regularly as we won a  case last week due to errors re dates of payment etc.

The other 2 pages are just payment details and nothing of note
Except that sometimes the text is flawed and makes the PCN invalid

Hi All
Wanted to ask some advice. Got a PCN for going down a road which doesnt allow cars. This road used to allow cars but appears that from the 19th August hasnt done. the council is trialling these measures and is consulting at present over this https://www.lambeth.gov.uk/sites/default/files/2024-08/REf80-press-notice.pdf. There is widespread disagreement that this actually reduces traffic but thats an aside. I wanted to know whether there were any valid grounds for objections - we havent used this road for a while so didnt pay attention fully as it was also a Saturday.
Will try and upload the PCN as the folder is full
Thank you
