Title: Re: Parking at Railway station. Paid for wrong car by mistake. First QDR solicitors letter received

It's too late to appeal now. APCOA are benign when it comes to litigation. You will just have to weather the Debt Recovery Agents (DRA) who are powerless to do anything. Never, even communicate with a DRA. Ignore them.

APCOA do not do county court. In the extremely unlikely ever that you ever receive a Letter of Claim (LoC) for this, come back and we'll advise on how to deal with it.

We do not need to see or know about any DRA or reminder letters. Use them as kindling.

Hi

It is a PCN.

Unfortunately they have lost the original Ntp as there was a clear out and it seems to have disappeared.

The event was ‘use of a private car park without a valid permit’.

Anyone who knows better never pays a penny to APCOA.

Please confirm whether it is Penalty Notice (PN) issued under railway bylaws or a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) issued under civil contract law.

Please read this and then show us the Notice to Keeper (NtK) you received.

READ THIS FIRST - Private Parking Charges Forum guide (https://www.ftla.uk/private-parking-tickets/read-this-first-private-parking-charges-forum-guide/)

You must ignore all DRA letters, including the rubbish from QDR. They are powerless to do anything.

Hi

The vehicle keeper received an apcoa parking fine for parking at a train station car park.

It turned out the wrong car had been clicked on the parking app so paid for the wrong car.

On checking the web it seemed pointless to contact the company as they very rarely cancelled the fine whatever mistake had been made.

Further checking revealed an endless list of people in the same boat and in most cases told not to reveal who was driving (it was not the registered keeper in this case) and not to pay the fine.

So would just like a bit of clarification based on what they have read.

The registered keeper is at the point where the have received the First QDR solicitors letter regarding the PCN.

They are intending to ignore it but am just checking if anyone here thinks they should pay up the £155 at this point.

Thanks for your help.
