Transport for London (TfL) Freedom of Information request:
In your representation against the above Penalty Charge Notice (PCN), you made a request for information that TfL are
duty bound to consider under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please note this is dealt with as an entirely
separate matter to that of the PCN. You asked for: FOI request for the make an model number of the CCTV.
In accordance with the EIR, we are not obliged to supply any of the information requested as it is subject to a statutory
exception to the right of access under regulations R12(5)(a) – “international relations, defence, national security & public
safety” (in this instance specifically public safety); regulation 12(5)(b) – “the course of justice, the ability of a person to receive a fair trial or the ability of the public authority to conduct and inquiry of a criminal or disciplinary nature” (in this instance specifically the course of justice); and regulation 12(5)(e) – “confidentially of commercial or industrial information where such confidentiality is provide by law to protect a legitimate economic interest.”

I have had to phone the Tribunal to receive the pack today. Really TFL needs to conduct themselves like the other 33 authorities and facilitate a proper online system for appellants to lodge their appeals and access them at any stage. This would make life easier for all as I said yesterday.

@eanp83 you need to make a representation, you'll have to do it by post I'm afraid and I would recommend you send it by special delivery.

All you need to say in the representation is this:

Dear Transport for London,

I challenge liability on the ground that the alleged contravention did not occur, please cancel the penalty charge.

In any event I hereby make an FOI request for the make and model of the camera device.

Yours faithfully,

Separately to that, call TFL on Monday on 0343 222 3333 and ask for the video, they will send you a DVD in the post and the PCN will be put on hold while you wait.

Please post all sides of the PCN, redacting only yr name & address, your reps and TfL's letter of rejection.

That said, apparently TfL have a major issue with some (most?all?) their PCNs at the moment: I expect our administrator, @CP8579 will be along with details before long.

Hello Everyone, Glad  to know about this website.

I have received the following PCN from TFL red routes bus lane
I Just did the informal representation 
I am Private Hire Driver and the passenger requested an stop and then changed of mind
however as PHV driver we can stop for very short time in a  Bus Lane to Pickup and Drop off passengers  but anyway  has been rejected.
