Hi - what happen with this in the end for you? I have been done at same place and have been very silly.

I recently began driving into the office after many years in Birmingham and park at this car park. It is clear marked but its very awkward as it is a mini round about as you exit the car park. To make this worse I have been driving into the office once a week and doing the same for the last 8 weeks and received my first notice from the first week of September only today!!! This was 69 days ago - what are my options around appealing this? I am fully aware I have made the mistake but the fact the time lapse of the penalty coming through has not helped me to learn from my initial mistake. What are the rules of a PCN being issued from the offence? Is there anything I can appeal on my continuing contravention in error.

I am wondering if this will be an isolated capture of my dumbness (pay up and hope no more come through) or should I call up the Council and fess up to try ease the pain by admitting fault to the multiple offences.

Happy to write a new post if needed.
Often we never hear back from an OP, so best if you start your own thread. Keep looking at this one to see if anything changes, of course.

You can try asking for discretion as the entrance to the car park is on the main all-routes road and then you exit by the roundabout on the side road without clear sight of the bus gate signs.

No ask no get - post a draft here first.

But are we sure B'ham is still reoffering the discount on these.
They certainly do not re-offer it responding to CAZ PCN reps, but other PCNs may be different.

Ive not been to birmingham before, i parked there to take my children to the lego discovery land. I honestly did not realise that i couldnt go left, i missed the blue sign, as i guess so many do, as this road has caught millions of drivers now.
Is it worth an appeal, do you know if anyone ever wins the southcote street pcn bus trap?
Problem with the Traffic Penalty Tribunal is they don't offer a searchable Statutory Register, unlike London. So one can never see what arguments may be put forward as reasons for cancellation. They do now have a Key Cases page, but it almost seems designed to put people off appealing !

I don't think the signage is a goer - yes there should be some kind of advance sign in the car park road and there is clutter to the left but the two signs opposite showing all routes and one showing the bus gate will probably be enough.

The video shows you coming out of a car park.
GSV went in there, and this is your view coming out.

Note the sign on the far side of the mini-roundabout. Hardly prominent, is it ?  However what was your approach to the car park, because there are advance signs on the ring road and also on Sheepcote St: -

and

and on Sheepcote St

Please tell us more about what lead you to the car park and then exiting it.  For a concert, it is no fair to expect you to remember signs for several hours.

Video shows a clear contravention but someone may know something about the road layout or possible faults with B'ham PCNs.

I went to birmingham and i got caught going down a bus lane, that i did not realise. I dont know the area, and i honestly didnt realise by the time i got to the juction i had no choice but to turn into the bus lane
this street is apparantely one of the most infamous streets for issuing pcns, and are making millions, which makes me think alot of people are innocently doing this, as i did, not realising.
On the day i had 3 ill children in the car, and i was trying to navigate out of a place i didnt know in rush hour. Any advice would be much appreciated.
