Here you go, courtesy of Google - TRO reported in the Gazette - https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/4513722. Order is dated 15th December 2023 and specifically names Lewisham Way in paragraph 2. It also gives contact details for any queries - Copies of the documents may be requested via email at trafficordersection@tfl,gov.uk, or by post quoting reference NP/REGULATION/STOT/BS/TRO/GLA/2023/0038

The A20 Lewisham Way is under he control of TfL. Many TfL roads in London are subject to 20mph limits and I believe the limit in this particular location was introduced in November last year.
Of course you have every right to check the TRO but I would be very surprised if the limit was not legally imposed. Have you any reason to believe it was not?
Don't forget that whatever enquiries you decide to make and whatever the results, you must respond to the request for driver's details within the time allowed. Failure to do so will see you commit a separate offence which carries six points.

Thank you again. Naturally, I have tried to make contact with my Local Authority, but, not unlike most, there doesn't appear to be anyone working for them that is willing to correspond with the public! I could write, yes, or complete a FOI request, but would rather avoid this if simpler routes exit. I have also tried Google!

Thank you. And where can I find that out for certain, when it changed, and whether it has been applied correctly?
It will probably be around Sept 23 as per https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-66785653

Who owns the process of changing the sign visible on Google from any that subsequently replaces it?
Google!
Find out who the relevant highway authority is, phone them and ask!
Process for changing a limit is
1/ Proposal and draft TRO
2/ Relevant checks
3/ Approval of TRO
4/ Publication and change signs

Have you considered, I don’t know, phoning them or writing to them and asking for a copy of the TRO? 🤷🏻♂️

Thanks, but there appears no avenue for me to obtain this information? What process should they have taken and how do I tell whether it has been followed? Who owns the process of changing the sign visible on Google from any that subsequently replaces it?
-
Thank you. Is that not available online? How would I do so?
It may be, or may not, ask them, there is no regulation about making the TROs available online.

Ask the relevant highways authority for a copy of the Traffic Regulation Order.

It doesn't matter what the speed limit/signage was 17 months ago. What matters is what it was when you were "caught" (or for all intents and purposes, what it is now).

I received a NIP today on this route. Firstly, I thought the camera was a red light camera only, and secondly, Google Maps and Apple Maps have signage prior to the camera stating it is 30mph (see link).

I was recorded at 25mph in what they have said is a 20mph speed limit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated?
