Title: Re: Camden, failed compliance with ‘no motor vehicles’, Harmood Street NW1

Ringgo does not operate in a road that is prohibited to motor vehicles. This is a low traffic neighbourhood where you can get to any road or part of a road via certain boundary roads.

As said you must put in anything today, or pay - is the discount still available?

I don't understand how this has slipped to what is now a perilous position with precious little info. But you are where you are.

Today is day 28, the last day on which you may submit reps which require consideration, after today the council may disregard.(PCN issued 12 July therefore deemed served 16th which is day 1 of 28).

Frankly IMO just submit anything, even if it's that you were distracted by children, apologise and ask them to exercise discretion. Do not try and shift the blame on to RingGo or the council, you are asking them to exercise discretion.

In your first post you suggested that you might receive a second PCN. What's the current position?

Hello, I would be very grateful if someone could take a look at this please and advise on whether or not I have a fighting chance of successfully appealing? As always, I am grateful for any contribution at all. Many thanks in advance.

Hi @Hippocrates

Thanks for getting back to me. I have just checked the status on the Camden Council website and it says: ‘NTO/Enf. Notice Sent’

Many thanks

As always, please check the status of the PCN and come back with what it states as very often it conflicts with the law.

Title: Camden, failed compliance with ‘no motor vehicles’, Harmood Street NW1

Hello,

I have just received a PCN from Camden Council- last week I was visiting and used the RingGo app to find parking in the area. I used sat nav to navigate to a RingGo parking area on Harmood Street, where I paid £7.68 to park in location 13663 at 12:37pm.

The PCN is for accessing Harmood street in a southerly direction at 12:28pm. The street does have a ‘motor vehicles prohibited’ sign but I was otherwise engaged with the stress of finding somewhere to park with 2 very young children in the car.

The RingGo parking area (location 13663) is 15 metres beyond these signs, on the right hand side. I parked where the blue Skoda is parked on Google Street View.

I am also expecting to receive another PCN as I turned my car around on Chalk Farm Road and reaccessed Harmood Street in a northerly direction, as there were no spaces available on my first pass.

I would be extremely grateful for any assistance that can be offered. It seems underhand of the council to allow RingGo to operate in an area which is prohibited to motor vehicles.
