New thread.

Id rather not deal with the baliff as I ve been told that they can be very unreasonable.
Just a quick question in relation to another similar pcn. If the council fails to issue the firt notice but issues the cc. Could this be contested outside the apeal time frame?

I do not have the full amount. Could I pay half immediately then the remaining in a couple of weeks?
The bailiffs may agree a payment plan with you, but it's entirely within their discretion to do so.

Yes, I realised this after posting. Is there any way that I can delay or contest this?
No and no, the only thing you can do is pay. The sooner you pay, the lower the cost will be. The PCN was served on 9 February so it's not as if this has been sprung on you with no warning.

Pay it and establish contact immediately to tell them that you have done so.

Ahh okay. Will I receive a court claim from the bayliff?
You already have an order for recovery, you've posted it above. The bailiff doesn't need anything else and it is clear from the other paperwork you've posted that the council has obtained a warrant of control. They'd be within their rights to clamp or tow away any vehicle you own, or to seize any movable property they can get their hands on.

@badgermole well if you received the PCN and had the chance to make representations and simply didn't, then you have no avenue of appeal so you'd better pay the bailiffs before the amount goes up even more. The one cardinal sin when it comes to penalty charges is missing the statutory deadlines to respond, and I'm afraid to say you have no valid reason for missing the deadlines.

Morning all,
I require some advice, now that this has escalated to the baliffs. I received the pcn 8 days after the contravention. I misplaced this, a few months later realised I had taken a photo. I am very familiar with this area. This is a recent restriction and I simply did not realise the time, as I would usually be work. I entered the zone at 1503, the restriction is from 245-345. I asked the concil if i could pay the oringinal amount. They refused and said that it has now been passed to the debt collectors. I have not contacted them but have received multiple threating letters.
