Points are irrelevant. The only criteria for a course are:
1. Have you done one in the previous 3 years?
2. Is the speed within 110% of limit + 9 mph?
It seems you qualify on both, so you should be offered a course automatically: no need to ask. That's assuming the offence was in England or Wales.
Oh that's sounds a little better news. It was in Wales, I've asked for the photo and have it now. They were on the slip road in a mobile van/camera.
I've done a speed awareness course in England about 5 years ago because of doing 82 on the M4, I assume they will offer another because its 79 which is 10% plus 2 ?
DO you have to ask or just return the NOIP and hope ?
Is "you should be offered a course automatically: no need to ask." not clear enough?

Hi all
I attended a speed awareness course 5 years ago for doing 82MPH on a motorway which was 70MPH. I then got caught for speeding 80MPH on the motorway and had a SP30, £100 Fine and 3 points, these 3 points will be 3 years old on the 3rd July next month
I have now nearly 3 years later got a NOIP for doing 78MPH on the motorway which was a 70MPH. Arghhhhhhh
So can I attend another speed awareness course ? The NOIP is dated the 4th June and my points will be 3 years old on the 3rd July ? Can I ask and would I be accepted ?
Do I send the NOIP back on the last day of the 28 days and would that be then technically no points on my license ?
Thanks
